UDEN 14 is going to be all about digital post production, an area for growth in Utah if ever there was one! PLUS you can go on a VIP tour of Utah's latest top notch post production facility HUGEsound!
REDEFINING POST PRODUCTION IN A DIGITAL AGE
What is the role of post production in this age of disrupted media? We'll have an expert panel discuss this very specialist area including whether or not it could be a formidable industry sector here in Utah.
- What does post production look like today? How does it apply to video games, films, virtual reality and television?
- Which services, professions and crafts operating in Utah fall under the new umbrella of digital post production?
- What are the drawbacks and competitive advantages of launching a big post production facility in a market flooded with home studios?
- Some cities offer significant post production incentives, SLC currently does not. In light of this, can post production hope to have a successful home in Utah?
- How can people working in post production compete outside of a race to the bottom for the lowest costs?
Our super-talented expert panel includes:
Motion Graphics/2D Animation/VFX supervisor
Brittani does extensive freelance work and is currently employed at the LDS Motion Picture Studio.
Brittani is an innovative design professional with over 15 years of industry experience shaping and delivering content that maximizes exposure and message impact for organizations such as HP, Deseret Book, General Electric, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hitachi, and many more.
Jeff graduated from Full Sail University in their Recording Arts program in 2005. He went on to work with Electronic Arts for 7½ years, working on everything audio before making a switch to film for 4 years.
He has experience in both production and post production audio. He is now incredibly fortunate to be re-united with many of his former EA Salt Lake team members directing audio and helping pioneer virtual reality experiences at THE VOID in Lindon Utah.
Michael is a storyteller and picture editor with over twenty years of experience in film and television.
He began his editing career on the CBS family drama Touched by an Angel. That set him on a path that would eventually see him working with JJ Abrams (Almost Human, Believe), Michael Bay (The Last Ship), Stephen King (11.22.63., Mr. Mercedes) and many others.
Michael is fiercely talented, lightning fast and a consummate perfectionist. After years of living and cutting in LA, he returned to his Utah home and love of all things outdoors.
