Writer, Programmer, and Educational Game Developer at ASPIRE
I am a PhD student at the University of Utah, where my research focuses on videogame development. My work has been published in a number of books, scholarly journals, and other outlets. I also contribute to a number of blogs, including Play the Past.
I am currently the lead game developer for ASPIRE, the outreach program for the Utah High Energy Astrophysics Institute. I am a vocal supporter of independent game development and have been a contributor to several Open Source game development tools, including Flixel and HaxeFlixel, I have also participated in a number of local and international game jams. My games have been featured by outlets such as Venus Patrol and Wired.
