    Gameplay Programmer

    We are seeking an experienced gameplay programmer. As a gameplay programmer you will help design and implementation core gameplay mechanics in our existing games.

    Responsibilities:

    • Integrate creative and technical design processes
    • Work with existing engine code base to develop and enhance gameplay
    • Create immersive and compelling gameplay experiences
    • Create accurate task duration estimates and complete all work in a timely basis

    Requirements:

    Preferences:

    Environment Artist

    We are seeking a talented environment artist to join our team in making great games. The ideal candidate will have some experience with next-gen asset creation, high poly/low poly modeling, and PBR texture creation, in addition to world building knowledge. This job is a very versatile position that will use all aspects of your industry knowledge to create props, textures, and environments that stride to set the new industry standard in visuals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create models, textures and set pieces, based on concept art and the need of the project
    • Work closely with the leads, designers, and other artists to model props

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with working on futuristic hard surface modeling
    • Solid experience with world building, texturing and lighting inside a game editor
    • Solid experience in environment asset creation using contemporary, real-time rendering methods
    • Understanding of modern 3D modeling packages
    • Willingness to undertake technical R&D related to game environments creation
    • Solid English skills and good communication skills
    • Excellent organization and time management skills

    Preferences:

    Concept Artist

    We are seeking an experienced concept artist that has concept experience with creating a diverse visual range of characters, environments, architecture, and related game assets. A solid grasp of form, structure, color, and light for 2D art assets is essential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create the look of the game by working with the Art Director to establish a consistent visual direction for mood, environments, characters, weapons, etc. by creating inspiring concept art that focuses on dynamic visual elements that maintain accurate scale, established architectural standards and character/creature anatomy that will be used to create in game content
    • Collaborate with the Art Director to implement the vision for the game
    • Produce work in an efficient and timely manner, on schedule
    • Work closely with colleagues to foster a highly communicative, coordinated team effort
    • Ensure quality of related assets by maintaining responsibility over your work throughout the project's development

    Requirements:

    • Excellent traditional artistic skills with a strong grasp of composition, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, creature/character, costume and graphic design
    • Proficiency in life drawing (drawing from life and reference) as well as a strong imagination and a willingness to push the envelope, to innovate within the parameters of the game's world
    • Strong communication, excellent visual storytelling and written skills
    • Solid English skills and good communication skills
    • Good positive attitude and outlook, self-motivated, and a great team-player

    We are seeking an experienced character artist to work on creating amazing characters for our games.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the team lead to create characters set forth by the art director

    • Model and texture high-poly characters and creatures

     

    Requirements

    • Examples of work demonstrating an understanding of form, silhouette, shape, texture, color, and lighting
    • Ability to create a low-poly model within poly budget and efficiently unwrap the UV's for texturing
    • Strong and relevant 3D and 2D toolsets

    Job Description

     

    WildWorks is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to maintain and build upon the existing server infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines for our applications. You'll get to work with some cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS, and will be responsible for working with developers to quickly understand their needs and put together infrastructure to support deploying and scaling their application. You'll also own the automated build/deployment platform and will become the subject-matter expert on supporting and building continuous delivery pipelines.

    This position requires a deep understanding of how all layers of an internet-based service work together. You'll need a good understanding of networking, security, DNS, Linux, databases, proxies, and protocols. We use a broad range of technologies, so resourcefulness is a huge asset. You'll serve on an on-call rotation and will be responsible for diagnosing the root cause of any issues and forming solutions that either prevent the root cause or automate the recovery of the issue. You'll also work with developers to identify useful and actionable metrics to measure, then set up monitoring and alerting based on those metrics.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Provide support, guidance, and training to developers for maintenance and deployment of Kubernetes manifests, Dockerfiles, and Jenkinsfiles.
    • Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and migrations in Dev, Stage, and Prod in a way that avoids downtime and service interruptions.
    • Identify and remedy single points of failure and security risks. Continuously improve self-service tools and processes to reduce cycle times for developers and automate repetitive and wasteful operations.
    • Maintain and improve shared Docker base images, deployment scripts, and service templates.
    • Manage databases, caching servers, message queues, centralized logging, etc. including Riak, AWS Aurora, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
    • Maintain tools and components of DevOps platform including Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, and Fluentd. Interface with external CDN, logging, monitoring, and security vendors. Update infrastructure code in Terraform and system images in Packer when needed.
    • Identify and reduce waste and increase cost efficiency of infrastructure. Provide input on build vs. buy decisions and negotiate contracts with external vendors.
    • Configuration and tuning of CDN distributions, servers, databases, proxies, messaging queues, and cache servers. Setup of replication and failover for datastores with single points of failure.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Working knowledge of Linux command-line tools. Docker and Kubernetes are a plus.
    • General programming experience in any scripting language.
    • Experience working in a fast-moving high-traffic, high-uptime internet service environment.
    • Knowledge of AWS services, best practices, and capabilities. Familiarity with EC2 networking, instance type selection, and configuration.
    • Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership.
    • Prior experience working with microservices, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems is a big plus.
